Tomorrow, God willing, the terror in Gaza will come to an end,
You will be able to walk freely without the fear of being killed, suddenly. You will go out at night without constantly checking the time. The fighter jets will vanish in the sky above you.
You will be able to pray in the mosque without the ominous whispers of the devil who always threatened you with an incoming missile. You will have a new chance to see the places you haven’t been able to for a while; places you surely long for.
Tomorrow, the thieves in the city, the war’s profiteers, and rumor mongers will disappear.
The city will gain back its true essence. The elderly woman will be sitting next to her lifelong companion under the sun warmth. Both smiling.
Tomorrow, people will embrace their pain with honesty, tracing the bruises of their wounded souls. Tomorrow, the survivors will realize that their survival is nothing but a tragedy in the absence of their beloved ones.
Tomorrow, temporary joy will be seen, while people shall embrace their tragedies.
Tomorrow, tears will be postponed until the evening, when the bereaved retreats into the solitude of his heart, remembering that he has survived, but carrying within him the mourning of an entire city.
