Painful, but important to share

The child Shahd Al-Baz (6 years old) was injured as a result of Israeli shelling, which caused deep burns to the soft tissues of the neck, shoulders, and face. These injuries resulted in severe hypertrophic scarring and the formation of keloids on the neck and both shoulders, accompanied by obvious deformities, skin thickening, and the growth of abnormal tissue.

Shahd suffers from acute and recurrent infections with continuous purulent discharge, in addition to severe psychological distress due to intense bullying by her peers, which has deprived her of her childhood and innocence and left her in an extremely difficult psychological state.

Due to the severe shortage of medical resources, doctors have been unable to perform the necessary surgical and reconstructive procedures. They have therefore recommended her transfer abroad for treatment to undergo reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries, in order to save what remains of her childhood.
