With every child who left
A wish and a kiss were gone
Love, along with a long embrace with tiny hands and a soft touch were gone
A melodious smile was gone
A small heart and dewy gentle words with innocence were left with incomplete letters
With every child who leaves, we burn
Our future is gone, and our humanity ceases to exist
With every child who leaves, a flower dies, a cloud weeps, the sun sets into nothingness, and we return to our dark birth
How can this world kill a child and still go on?!
