A year ago, I shared the story of this very friendly dog. What a lucky dog he was! Its story was published in both, Arab and international magazines. It reached over 5 million people around the world. It was translated into seven different languages.
At the time, I was contacted by an animal welfare organization based in Dublin, the capital of Ireland. They wanted to check on the dog’s well-being and asked for some photos of the tent we were living in together.
I sent them the pictures. In return, I received overwhelming sympathy. The organization then started seriously exploring the possibility of evacuating the dog from Gaza to a cleaner place with a wider sky. Meanwhile, no one mentioned me. I, the one who is living in a tent which is not suitable for a dog.
