For the third day in a row, my mother lies on a miserable, non-medical bed in a hospital corridor after being rushed in due to deadly complications caused by chemotherapy. The medical care condition is poor here. I made an oath to myself never to write another plea; that I would never beg the world again to help her, however, today I feel broken because my mother is the dearest person to me. She is the one that supports me to go on and endure such a hard life.
In God I believe. I appeal to every person with a compassionate heart in this world who can help me regain hope, to provide a hand in getting my mother out of Gaza to get the necessary treatment and care. Perhaps, she can make it and survive the deadly effects of chemotherapy.
I write these words in pain. I am overwhelmed with grief and despair, as we are left into a situation we never faced before.
I repeat, with sorrow and desperation, that I am ready to offer a reward to anyone who can assist in arranging for my mother’s departure for treatment; for anyone who can guide us the way that makes that possible. I promise.
Please share my message with the whole world. It may reach someone with a heart that still believe in humanity and who is ready to save a mother suffering of pain.
(Ahmad’s mother passed away in Gaza just almost a month after writing these lines)
