Tal Al-Hawa

Anyone who knows Tal Al-Hawa realizes that it is not just a neighborhood, but rather a painting full of life. Its streets have a character unlike any other place. Its towers and villas reflect the spirit of the place. It is the center of universities and socializing.

There, in Tal Al-Hawa is the famous Al-Sousi restaurant, where you can have the best falafel ever which is covered by salad and hummus. It tastes like nowhere else. The “Steps Mall”, is another shopping landmark. Tal Al-Hawa is also the base for humanitarian organizations, such as The Medical Relief Society and the Palestinian Red Crescent, both play an important role in hard times.

In Tal-Al-Hawa, there is also the German Specialized Center, Palestine Television headquarter, Al-Hur Al-Ain Bridal gowns, and Al-Shams Club. There is also Al-Dar Restaurant, famous for its grills, and well-known Mazaj Mill for cakes and sweets.

The Sea Street branches from the heart of Tal Al-Hawa and leads you to the dental clinics. Tal Al- Hawa is a lively neighborhood, full of love, and kind neighbors. You can smell the delicious falafel and feel the spirit of people when walking through its streets.

I remember once when the municipality changed the name of this neighborhood from Tel al-Hawa to Tal Al-Islam. On that day, I stopped a taxi to take me home. The driver asked: Where to? I said, “to Tal Al-Islam”. He laughed and answered: “Let Salah Al-Din drive you there!” 😂

Tal al-Hawa is a neighborhood not like any other.
