These are not homes. These are graves that collapsed over the heads of humans that were here during the storm. What could be said about the people living now in the over-flooded tents, screaming in the rain?!
Five souls in Beit Al-Naaja, another two in Al-Rimal neighborhood and a child in Al-Shati Refugee Camp, all died of cold. Little Rahaf’s soul was frozen to death in Khan Younis.
Two houses collapsed some moments ago in Al-Karama and in Sheikh Radwan neighborhoods, while the hands of civil defense were trying to hold up the ceiling over the drowned ground.
Every living heart here is crying and calling the name of someone lost in the wind and under the rain and the ruins. Screams that we are the only ones that can hear, while others are falling deep asleep near the fireplace worldwide.
